A Fat Wapper's guide to Sardinia
Flights to Alghero Sardinia are in the region of £30 each way from London Stansted. There are daily busses from Alghero to Palau (I think means chicken). From Palau it's only a short taxi (less than a tenner) to Porto Pollo where these pictures are taken.
Summer months wind is above force 4, 70-80% of the time. Water temp is for shorty wetsuit or just shorts if you only go out for an hour or two. Sailing from the Pryde/RRD centre at the top of the beach (this is the best one as the kit won't fall apart!!) wind is on shore with a small wind blown chop. While I was there in the end of June Robby Seeger was also there for some pre competition training for his next freestyle comp so that says something about the place.
