Pease closing out. Coldingham was large (head and a half) and i must admit i was very hungover in big swell. Did not do too much, but looking at the dead birds (cormorants, fulmar, tern...unbelievable) in the water around me, i was thankful for small mercies. Shame it died so soon Submitted: Sun 20th Jun 2010 at 08:50
Up for the dawnie and it paid off. 4-6 foot solid sets hitting aberdeen beach at 5am! Tide was a bit high for fittie but went in and paddled against the swell for an hour or so. Then went to Nigg Bay to find clean beautiful lines A-framing and peeling beautifully - gutted I'd wasted my arms on the beach. Felt like I'd betrayed Nigg by not checking there first. |
